WHO ARE THESE MEN?
A farmer, a mechanic, a cabinetmaker, a medic, and a law student.
These were some of their professions before they all became soldiers. Each portrait represents a life story profoundly shaped by a war that demanded courage and sacrifice from so many young people.
These WWII veterans were among those who visited Bastogne in 2019 to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. The U.S. Embassy to Belgium proudly shares their stories with you.
