APPLICATION OF GENERAL CONDITIONS

The agreements between the buyer and Tempora s.a. are fully and exclusively governed by these General Terms and Conditions, notwithstanding any conflicting information contained in any document issued by the buyer.

1. Price list and entrance fee

The entrance fee is specified on our website (https://bastognewarmuseum.be) in €, all taxes included. Special conditions shall only be applied at the Welcome Desk on the day of the visit. Any buyer who has applied for a special rate (PRM, senior, child, family) will have to prove their legitimacy with an official document at the Welcome Desk.

2. Personal data

When buying tickets via our website, the buyer is obliged to follow every step of the reservation procedure. During this procedure, the buyer will have to provide specific information that is necessary to manage their order. The buyer must confirm that the provided information is correct and up to date. The buyer of entrance tickets will take all necessary precautions to keep their password secret. In accordance with the CDPR, Tempora s.a. will only use this data (e-mail address) for the promotion of its own activities. Tempora s.a. guarantees that this data will not be sold or exchanged under any circumstances. Visitors can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time and choose to no longer be part of the Tempora s. a. database by unsubscribing manually.

3. Your ticket

  1. No tickets will be exchanged or refunded.
  2. Issue: After acceptance of the payment, the ticket is sent to the e-mail address provided during the ordering process. It is issued in PDF format.
  3. Validity: To be valid your ticket must be printed at home on a blank A4 sheet in portrait or displayed on the screen of your smartphone. A ticket is issued for each purchased admission. Selected date and time slot correspond to the visit of the permanent tour of the Bastogne War Museum. Visits of the Bois Jacques and of the Generation45 show are included in the entrance fee. The visit of Generation45 must take place on the same day as the museum tour. Only the visit of the Bois Jacques may take place on the day following the tour of the Bastogne War Museum.

The validity of tickets is controlled and registered at the Welcome Desk with the help of a barcode reader. The ticket is only valid on the date selected during the ordering process. Multiple admissions with a single ticket are impossible. Only the first person to present the ticket may enter the museum. They will be presumed to be the legitimate bearer of the ticket. This is the reason why it is forbidden to copy, duplicate or forge the ticket in any way. The buyer must keep their e-ticket in a safe place. The buyer should never accept any ticket offered by a stranger, as it might be a copy. The ticket bearer may be a different person than the buyer.

4. Payment

The act of validating an order implies the obligation for the buyer to pay the indicated price. Buyers must pay for their purchases on the website by bank cards (bancontact, maestro) or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, V-Pay, American Express). The debiting of the bank account will happen regardless of the use of the tickets. The proof of payment cannot be used as an entry ticket. Admission payments for groups are made directly at the Welcome Desk upon arrival or by invoice after the visit. The buyer must in any case must request the use of an invoice during the process of reservation and must provide the necessary billing information. Payments by invoice after the visit are only possible for groups that have made a reservation beforehand.

5. I did not use my ticket

Entrance tickets are valid for a single check-in at the date and time slot mentioned on the ticket. No tickets will be exchanged or refunded.

6. Postponing of the tickets

postponing will be accepted. If the buyer is unable to show up on the scheduled day, we invite the buyer to send an email at info@bastognewarmuseum.be or give it to another person in the same price category.

 

Adults and school groups

1. PROCEDURES AND BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR REGULAR VISITS.

The Bastogne War Museum accepts bookings by email or by phone. In case of contact by telephone, the group leader will be asked to confirm the booking request by email to info@bastognewarmuseum.be.

Adult groups must include at least 20 people on the day of the visit in order to benefit from the group rate. Groups must book their visit 4 business days in advance minimum. In case the group includes less than 20 people on the day of the visit, the individual price will apply.

School groups benefit from the school group rate no matter how large the group is. Teachers benefit from one free entrance every 15 students. The school must book their visit 4 business days in advance minimum.

For each booking, a confirmation as well as the booking terms and conditions will be sent via email.

Booking confirmations include a quote with an indicative price. The total price of the group visit is subject to change depending on the number of people present on the day of the visit.

The person in charge is invited to carefully read the booking form and check if the mentioned pieces of information are correct. If no remarks are made four business days prior to the visit, the booking is considered final.

The day of the visit, the person in charge must present the booking confirmation at the welcome desk of the Bastogne War Museum. In case the group did not receive the booking confirmation two business days before the visit, the person in charge must contact the booking department by phone +32 (0) 61 21 02 20 or by email info@bastognewarmuseum.be.

The group must come to the Bastogne War Museum at the day and time mentioned on the booking confirmation. In case the group is late, the person in charge must inform the booking department at least 2 hours before the time of the visit by phone: +32 (0) 61 21 02 20. The Bastogne War Museum reserves the right to change the time of the visit in order to fit the schedule of the day. The group will be informed of this change.

The visit of the Bastogne War Museum is made through a system of audio-guide. Audio guides are available in FR, NL, EN and DE and are included in the entrance fee.

  • Payment

It is preferred that the person in charge of the group pay all entrance tickets at the Welcome desk prior to the start of the visit. Payment options available include cash, debit cards (bancontact, maestro) and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, V-Pay, American Express). It is also possible to pay by invoice after the visit. However, the person in charge of the group must notify the booking department in advance.

  • Cancellation policy

A simple audio-guided visit (without any catering or animation) must be cancelled at least 2 business days before by email or by phone.

 

2. PROCEDURES AND BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR VISITS WITH CATERING

The term “catering” includes welcome coffee, breakfast, lunch, lunch box and any other services/products sold in the Bistrot de la Paix. Lunch reservations must be placed at least 7 business days prior to the day of the visit. In order to guarantee the best possible service, the reservation must specify the exact number of people that will be present as well as the chosen formula. Groups must choose one type of menu (2 or 3 courses menu) as well as one main dish for the entire group (except for diet restrictions that will be accommodated.) School groups can book the Bistrot space if the schedule allows it (after arranging it with the reservation department). Picnics are allowed if each person purchases a drink at the cafeteria. Lunch boxes including a sandwich, fruit and a bottle of still water are also provided to school groups.

  • Payment

Lunches can either be paid on the spot at the Welcome desk of the Bastogne War Museum or by invoice after the visit. However, the person in charge of the group must notify the booking department in advance. Payment options available include cash, debit cards (bancontact, maestro) and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, V-Pay, American Express). If there are more people than originally indicated on the reservation, the team of the Bastogne War Museum will do its best to accommodate everyone. However, extra lunches must be paid on the spot at the Bistrot de la Paix of the Bastogne War Museum. If there are less people than originally indicated on the reservation and that the booking department was not informed of such change by phone (+32 (0)61 21 02 22) on the day of the visit (between 9.30am and 9.45am), all booked lunches will be charged.

  • Cancellation and modification policy

Lunch cancellations must be communicated to the Bastogne War Museum minimum 7 business days before the day of the visit. All modifications (formula, number of people, day and time) must be communicated, by phone or by mail, at least 7 business days before the day of the visit.

 

3. PROCEDURES AND BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

School activities at the Bastogne War Museum must be booked at least 15 business days before the day of the visit.

The person in charge of the reservation must specify the name of the activity selected (“Celestin”, “A visit with Emile”, “Roads to exile”, “Discovering Human Rights” or “The war tribunal – Law and democracy in a situation where rights are overthrown”) and the age of the students. Any specific remark about the students (disability, health conditions, language of the animation…) must be communicated to the booking department.

One activity leader can only look after a maximum of 20 students. For larger groups, several activity leaders will be needed. The entrance tickets and the animation cost per animator will be claimed. If the visit exceeds the reserved hour, an additional hour will be charged.

  • Payment

The payment of the activities must be made at the same time as the entrance tickets to the Bastogne War Museum.

  • Cancellation and modification policy

Any cancellation or modification of a school activity must be made minimum 10 days prior to the visit. If this deadline is not respected, the fees for the activity leader(s) will be charged.
